Install Drupal 8.4.5 with Apache Version 2.14

Drupal version 8.4.5 requires Apache version 2.16 or greater, alternatively module mod_rewrite.so must be enabled and configured in the webservers configuration. When installing Drupal version 8.4.5 or greater the installation get stuck when checking system requirements. The following errormessage appears: "The reported value is Apache 2.14, to run Drupal without mod_rewrite, a minimum version of 2.2.16 is needed." But eventhough you enable mod_rewrite.so the installation tends to get stuck. A workaround for this is to do the following change to your httpd.conf: Find the ServerTokens section of your httpd.conf file. Add or change the line to: ServerTokens Major Then restart your http deamon. This will make the apache server to show only the major version, i.e. 2. This forces an option in the Drupal 8.4.5 installation that gives you an option to "install anyway". And you can proceed with the installation. But in order to make Drupal version 8.4.5 to work properly you must configure the mod_rewrite.so and rewrite directives for your website properly.
